Detectives are appealing for witnesses after residents heard shots fired in Roehampton on Monday night.
Police were called about 6.40om to High Cross Way, Bessborough Road, after reports of shots being fired and recovered several casings from the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Residents told police they heard shots being fired outside the block of flats, specifically numbers 27-40. There were no reports of any injuries.”
The incident is being investigated by the Met’s Trident team.
Detective Constable Nick Bewsey said: “There are a large number of flats in this area and it was early in the evening although dark by then. We do not know if the suspect or suspects were on foot, on a cycle or in a vehicle.
“I’m appealing for any witnesses, anyone who may have been outside or looking through their windows at the time or in the area returning home.
“Were you in the area, did you see or hear anything suspicious around this time?”.
