A 55-year-old man had a gun put against his head as robbers tried to steal his car.
The man, who was parking his silver Toyota Previa, was approached by hooded men at 10.30pm on Monday, February 15.
The attack, in Upwood Road, Norbury, happened when one of the robbers opened the drivers door and snatched the keys from the ignition.
He was then ordered to get out of the car and another man tried to pull him out of the car but was unable to as he was wearing his seat belt.
The man then began sounding the horn and shouting for help.
Another robber then opened the passenger door and stole his driving license and his wallet.
All three robbers then fled towards Lloyds Avenue having first stolen two silver coloured tool boxes from the boot of the man’s car.
The robbers are described as black men aged 18 to 23-years-old, wearing dark hooded tops with the hoods worn up and dark coloured gloves.
Detective constable Steve Troubridge of Croydon Robbery Squad said: "This was a gun enabled robbery and was a terrifying experience for the victim that has left him extremely shaken.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary.”
Anyone who did see anything should contact Croydon CID on 020-8649-1377 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
