Strictly Come Dancing star Erin Boag stepped in and saved the show in Kingston this afternoon, after dance partner Anton du Beke was rushed to hospital after collapsing and losing conciousness at his home this morning.
The pair were due to perform at a £65-a-head tea dance for readers of She magazine at Warren House, Kingston, this afternoon, but Ms Boag received a call from her agent late in the morning saying her fellow TV star has been taken to A&E by ambulance.
The Kingston-based dancer has partnered Mr du Beke professionally since 1997, and rather than disappoint fans by cancelling she improvised a one-woman show for the audience.
A spokesman for She magazine said: “They should have been doing a private show for 80 women. She did a solo routine and then taught the women to do their own dance themselves. It was very girly.”
