Tooting residents got tips on how to save on their energy bills at a “warm front” event held by local MP Sadiq Khan last Friday.
Residents gathered at St John The Divine Church, Earlsfield, to find out how they could cut their electricity bills.
So far, the programme has assisted more than 800 Tooting households since its inception four years ago.
Martin Carrick of Eaga partnerships, which runs the scheme, said: “This was a good opportunity for local residents to learn more about services in the area.
“It has been beneficial for all involved – people who wouldn’t normally get in touch with us were able to find out what we do, and quite a few of them found out that they were eligible for grants.”
