Sky news presenter Caroline Feraday is performing a skydive alongside fellow celebrities Amanda Wakeley, Marigay McKee and Kate Bostockm for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
Caroline, who lives in Clapham, will be joining the Breakthrough Booby Birds in order to reflect the emotional freefall experienced by women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Caroline became involved with the campaign after cancer devestated her family.
She said: “My family has a history of cancer and I think it’s important as a woman to be breast aware and to support those going through the unthinkable.
"We all think 'it won’t happen to me', but it could and it does and so it’s important to me to be proactive and not reactive in my support for the amazing work Breakthrough Breast Cancer does.”
In the UK alone, 1,000 women die from the disease every month. Another 46,000 women are diagnosed on an annual basis, making it the most common form of cancer in the country.
