Photography students at Croydon College will be having their first exhibition on the theme of identity and gender.
Work by the seven budding artists include photography and short films.
James Corbett's contribution include photographs of his young son.
He said: "Three Years ago my life changed when my first son was born. For this exhibition, I present a group of photographs aimed at displaying the identity of my son, and the impact he has had on my life.
"For Gender and Identity, I will be presenting a humorous and staged documentary, looking at Men in Croydon who are struggling to find love."
David Wright will be displaying his varied portraits and Peter Sas, also a portrait photographer has taken photographs aimed at getting people to think about their prejudices towards immigrants.
He said: "We see thousands of people everyday, faces in the street, on TV and newspapers.
"Some of them are immigrants to this country who often feel alienated at first but slowly become integrated."
Jessica Ruth Rabit’s work entitled ‘Self Portrait’ examines the idea that identity is created through a series of experiences and relationships built throughout a lifetime.
Marcel Rodrigues, a deaf photographer, looked at men and women using sign language and expression.
Ursula Wasilczuk examines our relationship with our bodies. She considers the way images produced by the mass media, influences the way we feel about body shape.
The exhibition runs from March 15 to 19 at 16, Katherine Street, Croydon.
The students would like to thank Minerva plc, who have loaned the use of one of their properties for the temporary exhibition.
