Armed police are believed to have arrested a woman after a siege at a block of flats.
The siege is understood to have lasted 45 minutes while officers tried to convince the woman, in her mid-30s, to leave the flat in Marbles Way, Tadworth.
A shop worker who witnessed the action said: “She is local and is always around here. Police managed to take her away after three quarters of an hour.
“They had cordoned the road off while they were talking to her and there are still some officers over where the block of flats is.”
No-one is reported to have been injured during the siege.
