The Rose Theatre has announced an impressive line-up for its next home-grown production, Dumb Show.
Dexter Fletcher, star of Hotel Babylon and Lock Stock and Smoking Barrels, will tread the boards as a tabloid journalist, alongside comedic actor Sanjeev Bhaskar, from Goodness Gracious Me.
The play, directed by Stephen Unwin, tells the story of a television presenter who had never been able to obtain the celebrity lifestyle he craves, so takes the bait when two bankers lure him in with the promise of money.
His celebrity comes at a price and he becomes the victim of a major tabloid sting.
