Take a stroll down any high street you will find someone raising funds for one charity or another. Then there is always the family member of friend who needs to be sponsored for running, biking, swimming or whatever event is current. Unfortunately, most fund raising activities leave no fun for the giver.
That is until now. Theo the Magician has introduced Theo the Magician’s Magic Sunflower Competition which allows all participates to have fun. For a donation of £5.00, each contestant will get a packet of “magical” sunflower seeds to plant. Photos of the blooms can then be taken and submitted in the competition where many prizes can be won such as Tallest Sunflower, The Widest Head and The Funniest Photo with a Sunflower More information can be found at www.magictheo.com.
As the sunflowers bloom and follow the sun across the sky, this fund raising activity is in memory of two the sunny people, Sarah Cure and Bill Shrimpton. The funds will go towards the Neonatal Unit at the Hospital where Theo’s daughter Elena, was born on the same day as Sarah’s son Christian, and where Bill’s grandchildren were also treated. Funds will also be given to the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.
On launching the competition, Theo the Magician said, “This is a Fun Family way of remembering two lovely people and saying thank you to both organisations that do fantastic work all year round to people in the community”.
