Tottenham and England striker Peter Crouch has been named the funniest man in British sport.
The 6ft 7inch footballer was crowned after topping a poll carried out by Sky1 HD's new comedy panel show, A League of Their own, featuring James Corden.
Crouch, who scored twice for England in their most recent outing against Egypt, topped the poll due to his cheeky answer to the question, "what would you be if you weren't a footballer?"
"A virgin," was his reply.
His robot goal celebration, first used before the last world cup, also received a strong vote from the 2,000 people polled.
Respondents were asked a series of questions about past and present sporting individuals who have managed to entertain over the years and their thoughts on the amount of humour in today's sporting industry, compared with past decades.
John Motson was also hailed in the results for his legendary statement: "For those of you watching in black and white, Spurs are in the all-yellow strip."
Delia Smith was up there for her infamous half-time "let's be havin' you" outburst at Norwich.
Funniest Olympic moment ever, however, went to the legendary Gloucestershire ski jumper Eddie 'the Eagle' Edwards, who pipped sprinter Usain Bolt and the moment the Olympic torch went out and had to be re-lit by an official with his cigarette lighter in 1976.
Meanwhile, Murray Walker was confirmed as wittiest sports commentator ever, with John Motson second.

Have personalities faded from UK sport? Are the characters missing from football to boxing and cricket?
Or is the media to blame? With personalities more wary of talking to the press than ever before?
Or is Crouch an example of how sportsmen and women are just as funny as they've ever been?
