Anyone interested in plans to build a much-needed sports hall at Wallington High School for Girls is invited to an information and consultation evening.
The sports hall, to be built on the Woodmansterne Road side of the school, has been granted planning permission and work will begin in September 2010.
The evening will be hosted by the headteacher, Barbara Greatorex, and presentations will be given by teachers, students and the architects of the building.
Mrs Greatorex said: “For too long, the students at Wallington High School for Girls have not had the sports facilities they deserve.
"The new sports hall will go some way in ensuring that current and future students get the best facilities that the school can provide for them.
“It’s important for local residents, parents and students to hear about the plans of what is going to happen to our school.”
The reception will be held at Wallington High School for Girls on Tuesday, March 23 at 6.30pm.
