The head chef at a care home in Warlingham has won an award for his excellent cooking.
Alan Meaden, from Cranmer Court care home, was recognised for his dedication at the Caring Homes Group Celebrating Excellence Awards 2010.
Mr Meadon won the award for Chef of the Year, as a result of the superb and varied food he produces for the residents.
He said: “Winning this award is a great achievement, not just for me but for everyone – it is an award for the whole team because I would not have won without their support.
"It is a real honour to be recognised, and rewarded for the hard work I put in.”
Emma Charlton, Group Marketing Director, says: “I would like to congratulate Alan on his award, it is a real achievement and he should be very proud of himself and the important work that he does at Cranmer Court.
“Our staff work so hard throughout the year, and truly do deserve to be rewarded for their dedication.
"The awards evening acknowledged and celebrated the role of each and every member, and their outstanding contribution, effort and achievements.”
