Paul Hart has praised teenage left back Lee Hills after his impressive showing against Leicester City last night.
The 19 year-old bounced back from his horror show at Doncaster Rovers two-and-a-half weeks ago, when he came on after five minutes and was then substituted at half time, with a mature display in the second half of the Eagles' 1-0 defeat.
"I was delighted with his performance," said Hart.
"He didn't let anyone down and he did very well.
"When you come in at this stage of the season you have to go with people already in the team.
"In Lee's last game before I came in he was a substitute who was substituted but he has picked himself up from that and I thought he came on and did brilliantly."
Nathaniel Clyne was taken off at half time with a groin strain and is now a doubt for Saturday's trip to Blackpool.
"It's pretty sore in some of his movements but he is young and he is strong so he will recover quickly I hope," said Hart.
"We don't know yet but he will probably not be ready for Saturday."
