The Cricketers pub in Kingston is to make a third attempt to regain its licence, after the previous landlord was barred from running the bar while police investigate fraud allegations.
A police raid found 130 credit cards in various names, money, cheques, two ledger documents with a package of suspected false ID papers and financial details under the underlay of the attic, it was alleged last year.
Landlord Charbel El Khoury, who denies any guilt, has been bailed until May to allow police to make further inquiries.
Owner Enterprise Inns wants to open the Fairfield South premises until 12.30am Sunday to Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday nights, but 26 neighbours have objected.
Before Christmas the pub tried unsuccessfully to start selling alcohol again, after advertising for a new licensee in a local newspaper.
A decision on the latest application will be made by councillors on March 23.
