For the first time in the short history of Saint Cecilia’s Wandsworth, students and teachers have got together to organise their very own version of the BBC television programme, ‘Question Time’, with the lady in question being the school’s very own local MP, Justine Greening. The event will take place on Wednesday 24th March and will follow the same setup as the programme itself, with students and pupils alike being able to put forward their questions as well as opinions on both local and national politics. With the coordination from the school’s sixth formers, students and pupils interested in participating can choose whether they want to be on the panel or on the question team for the event, as a way of ensuring all have a voice. This is an event which is not only paramount to the school as it is a popular secondary school within the borough of Wandsworth, but is important to the students and pupils who come from many other boroughs besides Wandsworth and may want to put across their views. We hope that the school will be able to host another Question Time in the near future, as a way of including the rightful opinions of the younger generation on the state of our nation.
