Olympic champion Linford Christie presented an award to the founders of a Wimbledon education company at a ceremony recognising organisations inspiring young people.
Blastbeat Education UK received the best creative contribution gong at the Kids Count Inspiration Awards, held last week at the House of Commons in Westminster.
Judges praised the centre for raising teenagers’ self-confidence, self-belief, self-esteem, and life skills.
Christie said: “It’s an honour to be part of such a great initiative. All of the winners this evening are champions in their own right and Blastbeat is an inspiration to others, both young and old.”
