Reigate and Banstead residents can pay their council tax bills by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to a new telephone payment facility.

All customers need to do is ring the telephone number on their bill to be connected to the council’s secure automated payments line.

Councillor Roger Newstead, the council’s personnel and business transformation spokesman, said: “The launch of this service is a further step in council’s programme to provide residents with more efficient and cost effective services and more choice in the way that they contact the Council.

“This is the latest automated telephone payment facility to be developed by the Council, enabling residents to pay their council tax bills at any time of day or night, whenever it is convenient for them.

"Customers can already pay parking fines and invoices by phone.”

Customers can also pay their council tax online at reigate-banstead.gov.uk as well parking fines (PCNs), business rates (NNDR), and invoices.
