Hip-hop legend P Diddy could step in to save cash-strapped Crystal Palace FC with a shock bid for the Selhurst Park side.
The rapper is believed to be looking to spend some of his £360m wealth on an English football team, with Palace and Premier League strugglers Portsmouth both interesting the 40-year-old.
But Mr Diddy - real name Sean Coombs - is said to favour The Eagles because he likes the name.
Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, who is charged with finding a buyer for the stricken club, said he had not received an approach from the rapper.
The self-confessed hip-hop fan said: “I would willingly fly to New York to meet him to discuss a purchase.
“I would be delighted if P Diddy wanted to buy Crystal Palace.
“I would welcome the opportunity to speak to him. Hopefully, he will be in contact shortly.”
Crystal Palace were forced into administration in January by hedge fund Agilo, and were docked 10 points as a result.
The deduction has left them just a single place outside the relegation zone, level on points with fellow strugglers Scunthorpe.
