Crystal Palace let a two-goal half-time lead slip as they drew 2-2 with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road and slipped back into the relegation zone.

Ben Burgess' last minute goal added to Charlie Adam's strike at the start of the second half to cancel out goals from Nick Carle and Darren Ambrose.

Carle put Palace ahead with his first goal of the season after only three minutes.

Blackpool failed to clear Lee Hills' long throw and Carle's miss-hit shot squirmed into the corner, appearing to get a touch off Neil Danns on the way but it was the Australian who celebrated.

Ambrose then scored his 18th goal of the season to put Palace 2-0 up before the break.

The Eagles' top scorer latched on to a throughball from Carle and finished between Matt Gilks' legs.

Palace had been comfortable in the first half but were on the back foot once Adam scored within two minutes of the restart.

Matt Lawrence sliced a clearance up in the air that Hills attempted to head back to Julian Speroni.

He didn't get enough on it though and Stephen Dobbie nipped in to set up Adam to score from the edge of the box.

Burgess then capitalised on more hesitancy in the 89th minute to snatch a point, though it could have been more for the Seasiders but for three superb Speroni saves in injury time.
