Police have named the man shot dead in Gipsy Hill on Sunday night as 22-year-old Ezra Mills.

Mr Mills, of Rushden Close, Upper Norwood, was gunned down on the Central Hill estate shortly after 10pm.

A postmortem examination yesterday gave the cause of death as a shotgun wound to the torso.

Police have launched a murder inquiry but are yet to establish a motive for the killing.

Officers found Mr Mills after they were called at 10.10pm to Oakwood Drive by the London Ambulance Service.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from Trident South are investigating and arrested two women and four men this morning on suspicion of murder.

A man and a woman have been bailed while the other four remain in custody at different south London police stations.
