FOOTBALL: South Wimbledon-based Wilf Kroucher are going all out to win the chance to play at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Goals from Adu (two), Paul Bennett and Andy Myers (two) gave Kroucher, sponsored by the Nelson Arms, a scrappy 5-4 victory over Shaftesbury Town in Surrey South Eastern Combination Junior Division One on Saturday.
The result leaves them second in the Lucozade Sport Performance League Division Four behind Country Thistle from Scotland.
If they can win the section they will play the winners of Division Three at Manchester United’s ground on Sunday, May 23.
They have just four games left to clinch their place, starting with Saturday’s clash with Battersea Ironsides GSA.
