Families are being encouraged to join in an Easter egg hunt to raise money for wild animals.
With Spring in full bloom London Wildcare Trust's hospital and rescue centre in Beddington Park, Wallington is gearing up for the rush and the inevitable expense of caring for thousands of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals.
To help meet some of that cost the Trust is holding a family Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 4.
The charity’s founder Ted Burden said: “We are ineligible for Government or Lottery support and we rely entirely on public donations.
“We have a few paid staff and more than 100 volunteers, but in the current economic climate it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the service.”
The event costs £2 per person and every youngster who completes the hunt will get an Easter Egg.
The hunt will take place at London Wildcare Trust, Beddington Park, Church Road, Wallington, on Saturday, April 4 between 11am and 2pm.
