UPDATE: Was Walton chaos a lorry breakdown?
Eyewitnesses believe a lorry breakdown on the apex of Walton Bridge caused traffic misery throughout the area this morning.
Traffic was reportedly backed up on all entrance routes to the town.
One eyewitness reported police cars and road cordons in High Street, but others have said the abandoned lorry caused the chaos.
