A pensioner was left fighting for her life after being hit by a bus in Streatham Hill this morning.
The woman, aged about 65, was rushed to hospital with "serious head injuries" after she was hit at about 9am by the 109 bus at the junction of Streatham High Road and Leigham Court Road.
The double decker had been heading north along the busy main road.
The male bus driver was treated by London Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene.
Road closures were implemented at the junction of Streatham Hill, Streatham high Road, and Leigham Court Road, causing major traffic problems, but all roads have now been reopened.
The collision is being investigated.
