Sunday saw the promotion of the New Wimbledon Theatre’s latest production, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ as it continues its 4th year on tour.
Fliers were distributed and a free give away of 250 colourful balloons in Wimbledon Village, which drew a lot of interested families. Parents stopped cars to ask the two promotional staff for balloons for their children, whilst adults joked ‘Am I too old to have a balloon?’ One local commented, ‘I think I’ll tell the wife so she can take along my granddaughter’.
With a cast and crew of 100, the production is bursting with magical songs including Truly Scrumptious, Hushabye Mountain and the Oscar nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It is a guaranteed spectacle for children as well as adults re-living their childhood. One mother said, ‘this was the first production I was taken to see as a child’.
The production is running from Saturday 27 March 2010 to Saturday 03 April 2010, with a running time of 2 hours 25 minutes with 1 interval and remaining tickets starting from just £25.
It will be a fun day out for all the family.
