Police pressure almost prevented a popular youth music event going ahead in Croydon on Friday night.
The Ignite 5 club night, which was created by the Arts Ambassadors youth group for the over 14s, was almost scrapped after police complained a DJing form had been filled out incorrectly.
South Croydon indie sensations The Tunics, grime and electronic crossover artist GoldieLocks and indie-rap pioneer Master Shortie have all headlined the music night in the past alongside young Croydon bands and singers.
A companion theatre night on March 25 offered teenagers the chance to get involved with film, dance and performance work.
