Two Surrey rowers have arrived safely in Antigua after racing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for charity.
Richard Hoyland and Steve Coe, from Leatherhead, set out on January 4 to take part in the Woodvale Challenge Atlantic Rowing Race, facing shipping hazards, blistering heat and the physical punishment of rowing.
They wanted to raise money for the British Heart Foundation following the death of Mr Hoyland's father to heart disease. Princess Alice Hospice where Coe's father in law received palliative care for kidney cancer is the other charity they wanted to raise money for.
During the trip they spotted a potential UFO, rowed into some spectacular sunsets and were visited by amazing wildlife while enduring a very tough daily routine.
