A drunk driver who killed his student passengers after careering into a house has been jailed for eight years.
Aloice Mburu, 24, lost control of a stolen BMW while giving Tabitha Njenga and Perpetual Muchemi a lift home to Thornton Heath from an east London nightclub last July.
Miss Njenga, 19, and 21-year-old Miss Muchemi were both confirmed dead at the scene, while Mburu was taken to hospital with a broken arm and partially-collapsed lung.
Mburu, who lived in Dagenham, was jailed for eight years for two counts of causing death by dangerous driving at Inner London Crown Court on March 26, after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
The Kenyan national was also banned from driving for 10 years, although he was handed no separate penalty for additional charges of driving with excess alcohol and driving with no insurance.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated vehicle taking, which will lie on file.
