An 18-year-old boy was stabbed at South Thames College in Wandsworth High Street this afternoon.
He is in a stable condition at hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the youth was stabbed in the college foyer.
He said: “We were called at 1pm to reports of a stabbing involving a group of young men.
“On arrival they found an 18-year-old suffering from three stab wounds.
"He was taken to a south London hospital and we have arrested four males in their late teens in connection with the incident."
A spokeswoman at the college said: “Emergency services were immediately called, college staff attended to the young man at the scene while awaiting their arrival.
“Police and ambulance services arrived promptly and the young man was conscious at the time of leaving the campus.
“The college is co-operating fully with the police in this matter.”
The spokeswoman said the college had a “rigorous security system”, including a security barrier in the entrance and had a ‘no ID, no entry’ policy for all staff and students.
