Thomas the Tank Engine fans were treated to a visit by the real life Fat Controller in Mitcham on Saturday.
The controller took time out from his busy day job to meet his most loyal fans at Smyths toys superstore.
The event marked Thomas and friends’ 65th year as one of the Britain’s most loved children’s series.
The Fat Controller was there in his top hat and tails, took photographs and even gave the children special postcards to take as a reminder of their day with him.
