Two sisters from Tolworth enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame when they took part in Channel 4’s Coach Trip.

Vanessa Carby, 21, and sister Sara, 24, spent a week filming in Greece in October last year and the episodes were due to air this week.

Along with six other couples and flamboyant guide Brendan Sherrin, the siblings visited Athens, Volos and the ancient oracle at Delphi.

Vanessa admitted that it was very much her idea to go on the programme.

She said: "I had to drag Sara into it. She was the first person I thought of to go on the programme and when we got picked she was like ‘I’m just doing this for moral support’."

At the end of each day participants vote for the passenger they want to leave the coach.

Unfortunately the pair were were voted off after five days.

Reflecting on their exit, Vanessa thinks they could have been more active in the group.

She said: "In the evenings sometimes they’d all be together but me and Sara wanted a bit of me time, maybe we didn’t get as involved as we could have."

Nevertheless the sisters had an action-packed time during the filming.

Vanessa said: "The coolest thing we did was a bungee jump.

"We went to an ouzo factory and got to bottle our own ouzo.

"We also did wine tasting, it was probably the strongest wine I’ve ever tasted."

"The oracle at Delphi was pretty rubbish, no one liked it.

"It was raining and my sister was more interested in all the stray cats."
