Roehampton University has launched an innovative series of films to help students cope with campus life.
Within These Halls, a collection of dramas focusing on issues including personal finance, alcohol awareness and dyslexia, was unveiled on Friday.
The stories follow the lives of five first-year students and their “flat rep” living on campus.
The project aimed to raise awareness of services available to students by using real-life situations.
An alumni student who now works in the film industry ran writing workshops for the students.
The production was shot and produced at Roehampton using the Television Roehampton (TVR) studio.
A spokesman said: “Students involved were empowered by the knowledge and confidence they gained by being a part of the project, they became more confident and able to recognise and promote their own achievements.
“Two students have subsequently been able to sign up with a creative writing agency as a result of this project.”
