Clinton Morrison. Our 10th highest ever scorer with 72 goals.
The man whose departure assured the safe delivery of current hero Andrew Johnson. And by the time you are reading this the Tooting-born Irishman could be back in Palace colours after a sorry spell misfiring at St Andrews.
The old adage that you should never go back does not apply to forwards at Selhurst Park, just ask that other south London scoring sensation Dougie Freedman who rejoined after successful spells at Forest and Wolves.
Imagine the scenario if Morrison did re-sign to play alongside Freedman, who currently ranks as Palace's seventh highest goal scorer on 95 strikes, and AJ who is fast approaching this elite band of marksmen.
How many other clubs could offer their fans a chance to see three club legends leading their forward line week in, week out?
I am a Morrison fan and I don't believe he has suddenly somehow turned into a bad player, so a return to Selhurst Park would be a real coup for the club.
