ADDISCOMBE 159-7
KINGSTONIAN 237-8

Addiscombe are still looking for their first win over the season after slumping to another defeat.

Kingstonian were asked to bat and after a poor start, the score progressed steadily to 67 for four after 15 overs.

At this stage S. Mahmood joined Zan and together they pushed the score along steadily before Zan was dismissed for a useful 41 leaving Mahmood and Rizwan to up the tempo.

Mahmood eventually fell for a valuable 76 and Rizwan for 22 allowing the Kingstonian skipper to declare the innings closed after 48 overs with the score on 237 for 8.

The home team's reply started steadily but suffered setbacks at a critical stage, losing four important wickets with only a few runs on the board.

A useful innings from Ian Messom (29) plus valuable contributions from John Basey and James Boudville enabled Ben Cox (26 not out) to steer the home team to a very determined draw.

Despite not achieving the much sought after first win of the season, it was pleasing to see Addiscombe battling so well to prevent their noisy and aggressive opponents achieving the win needed to further their promotion ambitions.
