Casper has become Pets Reunited's second success story after being returned to his owner.

Mel Lovegrove's cat went missing from his home in Little Roke Avenue, Kenley, on July 29.

But after being featured in the Croydon Guardian the pair were reunited last Monday.

Mel has owned Casper since he was three months old and when hercat went missing her first thoughts were he had been in an accident.

But he had lost his way and was living in a hole in someone's garden.

The 24-year-old Croydon Guardian sales representative said: "I was out of my mind with worry. I wasn't sure that I'd see Casper again."

She added: "I thought he had been hit by a car. It was a surprise when people called me to say he'd been seen.

"I was so relieved when I found him.

"I fed him a huge meal of his favourite Whiskers chicken in gravy when I got him home. I began to miss his company when I was alone around the house."

Mel said Casper's pink diamonte collar helped people recognise him from the Pets Reunited piece.
