The weather did not disappoint as New Addington hosted a weekend of fun and games to help raise money towards the cost of its Christmas lights.
Organisers hailed the two-day event a success after Milne Park was transformed into a fairground with rides, games and a wrestling show to entertain the crowds.
The activities started at 7am on Sunday and Monday with a car boot sale and there were pet shows, karate exhibitions and displays from the armed forces.
The weekend was organised to help raise money towards the £8,500 needed to deck Central Parade with lights over the festive season.
One of the organisers, Mick Watts, said while the day was hard work for those who helped out, it was well worth it.
He said: "It was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. We haven't raised the whole amount but we have raised money. I'm not sure how much yet.
"The kids really seemed to love the wrestling.
"We also kept Milne Park clean. We spent a lot of last night combing the grounds for litter, and there was hardly any."
Events will be held later in the year to raise the rest of the cash for the lights.
