A dangerous escaped prisoner with mental health problems could be in Croydon, police warned yesterday.
Altin Bushi, 24, disappeared from Springfield Hospital, Tooting, on Sunday. People are being warned not to approach him.
Bushi, described as 5ft 6in and stocky, was serving a 10-year sentence for an attempted murder in Croydon in January 1998. He had recently been transferred to Springfield, where he was being treated for mental health problems, from HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire.
He was last seen at Springfield at around 6.15pm and is not believed to have taken any of his medication since then.
Police say Bushi has connections to Croydon and may have returned to the area. If you see him, do not approach him but call 999 immediately.
