In tracing my family history, I found I may have relatives living in Croydon.
My grandfather was called Cyril John Wood and he was born in 1920. He had a twin called Ernest, who passed away when he was two days old.
Cyril had two other brothers, Jellicoe Kitchener James Wood and Frederick Charles Wood. Through Frederick's death certificate, I discovered he lived at 83 Coniston Road, Addiscombe, until his death in 1995. I also know that he was living with his wife, Maureen Rose Claire (nee Gilmurray) and his son, William George Wood.
I understand that Florence and William lived in that house until at least 2001. I have looked through the electoral register and discovered Frederick may have had two daughters, called Moira M Wood and Carol A Wood. Frederick was a retired civil servant.
I would love to hear from anyone who knew the family.
