Dougie Freedman is Crystal Palace's main injury concern ahead of Saturday's clash with Hull City at Selhurst Park.

The Scottish striker is struggling with a hamstring injury he picked up against Plymouth three weeks ago and has not been training with the squad since.

But Danny Granville is expected to return to the starting line-up after missing the last five league games with a knee injury.

Crystal Palace assistant boss Neil McDonald believes having Granville back in the fold will give the club a lift.

McDonald said: "It will be a boost to have him back, but it's a boost to have everybody fit and fighting for places because competition is good for the club.

"It's up to them now to impress the manager to force their way into the team."

McDonald also admitted the Eagles are still on a high after last week's win against Stoke City and hopes his side can take that form into Saturday's game against Hull City.

McDonald added: "The win against Stoke was fantastic and capped off a great week, where we won three games, kept three clean sheets and scored six goals, plus the signing of Clinton.

"Hopefully we can build on that and show more of the same on Saturday."

Mikele Leigertwood is expected to keep his place in the centre of the Palace midfield despite the return to fitness of Aki Riihilahti and Iain Dowie will wait to see if Clinton Morrison returns unscathed from the Republic of Ireland's game with France tonight (Wednesday) before deciding whether to give the striker his first start in his second spell at the club.
