PJF 41 GRAVESEND 0

PJF started this season's League campaign with a resounding victory over visitors Gravesend on Saturday.

The team scored seven tries, all through their backs and did not allow the opposition to score. Owen had a particularly good game benefiting from PJF's slick back play, scoring four tries.

Despite the searing heat, PJF kept the game flowing and their fitness told as they kept the score board ticking over at regular intervals.

Whenever Gravesend got possession PJF's effective defence thwarted their everymove.

A good crowd witnessed this victory and there is much expectation this season about the club's success.

PJF also fielded a second XV squad who narrowly lost to Old Whitgiftians first XV 25-31. Leading the way was veteran Nick Crumplin who at scrumhalf benefited from PJF's superior tight five and scored three tries.
