ADDISCOMBE 276-5
LIMPSFIELD 194

In the very last game of 2005, Addiscombe finally achieved their first win of the season when they defeated Limpsfield by 84 runs at Sandilands.

Having lost the toss, the Addiscombe batsmen made the most of an excellent batting track with significant contributions from Andy Poulton (78), Richard de Mel (68), James Dandridge (61) and Ian Messom (35) enabling a declaration in the 49th over.

Only young George Evans failed to contribute when he was dismissed first ball going for a big hit when the final push for runs was under way.

In reply Limpsfield got away to a steady start until a wonderful catch by young debutante Steven Cox broke the opening partnership.

There after wickets fell, before Limpsfield were all out for 194 in the 45th over.

Kevin Boudville was the pick of the bowlers finishing with 7-82 from his 22 overs though it was entirely fitting that Dale Cooper playing his final game before emigrating to Australia, took the final wicket when he bowled Brown, the Limpsfield number ten.
