I am sick of the misguided recyclers' writing to your paper.
We already have hundreds of people recycling daily in Croydon they're called dustmen.
If these people want to do free work for the council why not volunteer to sweep the streets or issue parking tickets for free?
Croydon Council currently pays a firm to take away the mountains of waste paper sorted by people oblivious to the fact it is unwanted by industry.
These people truly believe they are helping the planet but they are imposing their self-righteous hobby on all of us.
Now they want us to start sorting plastic as well.
What next, human waste?
I refuse to spend one second of my precious spare time recyling at all.
There is no economic or moral reason to do so.
