A 22-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted while travelling on an afternoon train out of East Croydon station.
Police are hunting for a man who boarded at the station and sat next to the victim before touching her indecently on the leg as she made her way home to Fulham.
The woman immediately left her seat and walked down the carriage before leaving the train at Clapham Junction.
DC Bates said: “This was a frightening and intimidating experience for the victim, who was simply trying to make her way home and anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV images, as we want to speak to him in connection with this incident.”
Anyone with information, which happened on February 6, can call British Transport Police free on 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 387 of 06/02/10, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
