Two men were found guilty of murder and robbery after a drug deal went wrong.
Michael Henry, aged 39, from Streatham Hill, and 35-year-old Mark Brown, from Thornton Heath, were both found guilty of killing Sunny Eze by a jury at the Old Bailey, on April 1.
Police were called by paramedics to a ground floor flat at Vyvyan House, Campbell Close, Shooters Hill, at around 10pm on March 4 last year.
Officers found 33-year-old Mr Eze slumped against the fridge in the kitchen with injuries to the upper body and head.
A post-mortem examination showed his death was due to multiple stab wounds. The Nigerian national had been stabbed three times in the upper back and neck.
The court heard Mr Eze had allowed the defendants into his flat to negotiate a drug deal.
At some point Henry disappeared to the toilet and then reappeared with a gun, intending to commit a robbery.
It is believed the gun was passed to Brown and Henry stabbed Mr Eze in the back as he tried to take the gun.
Brown handed himself into police on March 23 last year.
On September 8 last year Henry was arrested following an extended manhunt.
Both defendants accused each other of committing the murder throughout the trial.
Detective Sergeant Steve Keogh from the Met’s homicide and serious crime command said: “Despite the circumstances of this crime, Sunny Eze died in a brutal and violent attack at the hands of these men.
“We have been committed to bringing these men to justice throughout this case and we are grateful to the witnesses who came forward, despite being fearful of the consequences.”
The pair were also convicted of robbery.
Brown was also found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
