Come 19th June and the grounds of Carew Manor, Beddington Park shall reverberate to the sounds of Beatles favourites. Organised by the Rotary Club of Carshalton Beeches, this musical extravaganza shall feature the Mersey Beatles, one of the best known Beatles tribute bands, worldwide and official Beatles tribute band for the City of Liverpool. Wow.

Following them would be The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, which the organisers claim to be one of Britain’s greatest orchestras. I do not know much about orchestra; so, I’ll take their word for it. The cherry on this metaphorical cake would be an awe inspiring firework display, which, however much clichéd, works perfectly for a finale.

Tickets shall not be available that night and considering there are discounted tickets if purchased early, it does make sense to buy them now. Gold tickets which include a 3 course meal with wine, allocated seats and parking cost £65 (!!!!!), and silver tickets include reserve seating, wine and a picnic box (awww…) cost £37.50 and normal tickets for mere mortals like us cost £22.50 during June and £17 before June.

Tickets can be bought at www.carshaltonbeechesrotary.org.uk or by phoning on the hotline 08448700803.

So, if you did love music, and did love the Beatles, it does seem that this extravaganza shall cater to your musical needs, and seems that it would be a very different sort of pleasant outing capturing the spirit of what we hope will be a beautiful summer. However if you just want to see the fireworks, just linger around Beddington Park a couple of hours after the hoo-haa starts.
