Two Chiswick school friends will be heading to Cambridge to study the same degree after achieving outstanding A-level results.
Edward Cook and Jordan Brown, who have been friends since joining Chiswick Community School in year 7, both gained three A*s in maths and science subjects.
Edward also scored an A in a fourth A-level.
Not only will they be both be reading natural science, the friends will also be attending the same college - Corpus Christi.
Chiswick Community School had a 98 per cent pass rate in this year's exams, with 71 per cent of results at A* to C grades - 3 per cent up on last year.
Among the success stories was Ikita Pokaharna, who joined the schoool from India two years ago. She passed four A-levels with an A*, an A and two Bs. Daniel Sechere and Boris Gvero both took retakes and a vocational course in their first year, but after two further years achieved good enough grades to progress to university.
Deputy headteacher James Whiting said: "Chiswick sixth form has a deserved reputation for delivering the best for students from a range of backgrounds and starting points.
"I would like to congratulate students and staff for all their hard work leading to this success.
"All the best to students continuing their education at university next year."
