Wandsworth’s Salvation Army shop has been praised in a “shop of the year” competition at Keele University.
The awards were held by the Association Of Charity Shops, which represents 300 charities in the UK, operating 7,000 shops between them.
The Wandsworth shop, which only became a member this year, received a highly commended award in the competition.
The framed certificate now takes pride of place in the shop behind the till.
Shop manager, Richard Baggaley said: "The award is recognition of the hard work put in by the staff and volunteers to make the shop such a local success and a thank you to all our customers without whose support we would be unable to turn donated goods into cash in support of the ongoing work of the Salvation Army here in Wandsworth."
