Council launches new job service
Wandsworth Council is leading an initiative across for boroughs which supports business growth and helps unemployed residents find new careers.
A new job brokerage service has been set up to offer local employers free access to a selection of pre-screened candidates - giving businesses more choice and jobseekers more opportunities.
Any candidate wanted to join the scheme - a partnership between Merton, Sutton, Croydon and Wandsworth councils - must take part in an eight week training programme.
Residents and employers can apply to join the scheme by calling 020 8871 6443 or email employment@wandsworth.gov.uk.
