Police officers were thanked by passing pedestrians after they targeted criminals using public transport at East Putney underground station.
The joint operation between the Metropolitan Police Service’s passive drugs dogs unit and British Transport Police netted two arrests for possession of class A drugs and four street warnings for cannabis possession.
According to Wandsworth police, members of the public “expressed delight at seeing officers at the location”.
