A burst water main has flooded Brentford High Street.
The pipe burst at about 6am spewing out gallons of water.
Vehicles have been abandoned and businesses remain shut after water flooded the high street and nearby residential roads.
Firefighters have used a life raft to take people through the flood water to dry land.
Jon Russell, who captured these photos of the flood, woke up this morning to find the road outside his home submerged under water.
Mr Russell, who lives in the Ham, said: "It is totally flooded. It [the water] has come up to the communal car park as well.
"The emergency services have been helping people to the high street using a raft."
Thames Water engineers are currently on site working to fix the ruptured pipe but warned water supplies could be interruped.
A spokesman said: "We have turned off water in the pipe and we are now digging up the road to get to the pipe.
"We are extremely sorry to residents and businesses affected by this - both at the scene of the burst and across the wider west London area, where water supplies have been disrupted.
"A large quantity of water, which flooded a section of High Street and some adjoining roads, is being pumped away with the assistance of the fire service.
"Fixing this pipe is likely to take two days and rebuilding the road over the top of it will take a week.
"This work will affect London-bound traffic in High Street. Again, we are really sorry about this."
The high street is closed between Commerce Road and Half Acre.
Traffic is being diverted via Boston Manor Road, affecting bus routes 235, 237, 267, N9, E2 and E8.
It comes just weeks after a water main burst in London Road.
